Fit & Fabulous For Fall

As summer comes to an end and fall approaches our brains suddenly shift from “vacation mode” to “back to school mode”. Jumping back into the swing of things can often throw you off your usual schedule but shouldn’t throw you off from being fit and fabulous! Take advantage of this beautiful season with incorporating seasonal vegetables and fruits! Here are some helpful tips to keep you on track for the season!

  • Apples

Don't overlook the most ubiquitous fall fruit. While apples have long been associated with good health (an apple a day, anyone?), research has actually discovered a compound in the apple's skin called quercetin, a powerful anti-oxidant that may fight a host of diseases. (Don't discard the skin –buy organic to avoid pesticide residue, and give it a good washing.) Calcium, Vitamin C and folate make apples even sweeter.

Out with the old...in with the new: Tips on skin health for summer

We’'ve all heard the saying when the seasons change and spring approaches “time for spring cleaning!” You proceed to clean everything out whether it be your wardrobe or nick knacks around the house that have seen better days...but what about your skincare products? We’'ve all done it... kept all the little sample products of creams, cleansers, toners, masks, that are all outdated or have never been touched!

 Well you know what I say? Out with the old, in with the new! Summer is here and is in full effect. Ask yourself … do I have a good sunscreen and skincare regiment? Everyone should have the “basics” as I like to call it to their daily skincare regimen, what are these you ask?  I like to keep it simple and less congested with my skincare ritual. I am a firm believer in having 4 products on hand ALWAYS.

We’ve all heard the saying before, every time summer is approaching “I gotta get in shape for bathing suit season!” Easier said than done right? Have no fear Brittany is here to help you get on track to reach your health and fitness goals! First things first… Give yourself a goal… Goal setting plays a major part in achieving your fitness goals. I have always been a firm believer in buying a journal to log your workouts and what you’re eating. This will help tremendously with keeping you on track. Water, water, water! I cannot stress enough on how important it is to stay hydrated! (Especially during the summer when it’s hot!) What fun is getting into shape without healthy easy recipes?! I always find it exciting getting a new recipe to try every week! The warmer months are rapidly approaching, so why not get rid of the unhealthy food in your house and enjoy a brighter, thinner future? Here are a few helpful tips to get you started on a healthier path to summer!
